Rattvik Dalhalla (Sweden) !
We just got back from the show at Dalhalla which was being held in a beautiful old stone quarry (i think) and is now recommissioned for open air concerts.
The view was stunning and the sound was great, John had alot of interaction with the crowd and was having a good time. People were yelling stuff between songs constantly and at one point i yelled "John, How are you?" to which he smiled and replied "Great what about you!". I think i forgot to reply that in my excitement!
Anyway, between the stage and the crowd was a real "Green River" and John even joked about taking a dive while running infront of the stage near the water!
Two great songs from Blue Moon Swamp were added to the setlist featuring great guitar work by John and newcomer Randy, "Blueboy" and "Joy of my life".
John forgot some of the words to Garden Party, but nobody seemed to notice :D
He tells a great story before kicking off "Gunslinger", a great addition to the setlist!
What a great day! Tomorrow we are driving up to Aalborg to see the next show in a few days. Unfortunately we have to skip Umea tomorrow because it is too far for us to travel with our caravan and make it back in time for the show in Aalborg!
See you soon!

Re: Rattvik Dalhalla (Sweden) !
"Blueboy" and "Joy of my Life" are two really great songs that one doesn't hear in concert all too often these days!!! Jeff - thank you so much for posting your concert review for us US Fans who are unable to flee our coops and hop the Pond to come over and see John & BAND in action!!!
Your review was very nice!!! I can just picture that old, stone quarry and how cool the air must have felt with a scent of old moss and shades of brown, gray and slate. Then John wanted to dive off into the waters someplace nearby - - - and "GREEN RIVER" once again made it on the setlist and I love how John Fogerty does that great old rock classic these days. It never gets old. Man oh man - that is one of his greatest songs and whenever I hear it, I just LOVE it so much!!!
Anyhow - - - please, please, please keep up the good work and post more!!!!
Keep on chooglin'!!!! -
RE: Rattvik Dalhalla (Sweden) !
Thanks guys. We drove up to Aalborg today and passed ROSKILDE funnily enough, i had to laugh when i saw the sign as John called me Jeff Roskilde during the shows at the Beacon Theatre
We had terrible rain all day and left our camping soaking wet! Hopefully it will clear up tomorrow.
I really hope John will say something or wave at me and my father during one of the shows because i think he still hasn't recognised us at any of the shows so far. He sees Robert & Petra + Micio & Anne everytime and we are usually right next to them!
Looking forward so much to the next shows! Norway and Sweden were such beautiful places and it was a great experience.. Going to check out some guitar stores in Aalborg tomorrow!

SWEDEN
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY
the drive to the venue , ho man (or woman) !!!!!
a small road through the woods , over mountainridges (with my blue JF t-shirt I felt like a blue
ridge ranger) , passing beautiful lakes and arriving to a stone-quarry (thanks Micio , I didn't
know that was the word , I know the Quarrymen but I would have said a stone-groove , that's
like a chocalate moose , but only dutch-speaking understand this joke)
the stage was surrounded with water (no front-seats) and a big fountain behind it
there we were sitting surrounded with rocks and John said "there's a crack in the wall"
yeah , there was one !!!!!
the water created a distance between John and the crowd but after a few songs everybody
was standing and singing and cheering
what a great feeling that night
