Skovdalen, Denmark
I'm at Egon and Bente's house right now, just had some good food!! Just came home from the concert with mixed emotions! Even though I was exhausted, I was so happy to be back there, because there are so many good memories in that place! (6 years ago)
Had a very good spot, and the stage was so close!! show was great, John in a good mood, and i danced my butt off.
Shane had his first solo, in Old man down the Road!! it was so cool and I felt so proud of him!!
I was having a great time until the moment a security guy came to me to tell me I had to stop filming. I told him that i wasnt filming (as i'm not filming!) with handgestures and everything, and he gave me two thumbs up when I said I was only taking pictures, so I thought everything was ok.
This must have been the loudest concert i've ever been too, I had my earplugs in, and still my ears are ringing! thats a first :-D ofcourse we were in front of the small box, and we could have gone to the back.
I was getting ready to spend my last energy on Rockin All Over The World, but all of a sudden, ANOTHER security jumped on me and went "gimme your camera!" To make a long story short, he stayed very polite, I did too, I had to show him the difference between movies and pictures on my card (movies have a special logo) and showed him there was only pictures on my memorycard and NO MOVIES!!!!!
so he said its ok to take pictures too, (like the first guy) and left me, but by then my concert was ruined offcourse, also because everyone was looking at me like if I did something wrong.
i'm just taking pictures!! :-(
Too bad this happened, because this could have been a really, really special evening.
Well, ofcourse it wasnt Johns fault.
Tomorrow a day off, we'll spend the most of it SLEEPING i think, this is such an exhausting tour! And then the boat to Norway for another show, looking forward to it!!

Re: Skovdalen, Denmark
I am sorry to hear about those dumb-ass security guards! I sure hope you had a good time otherwise.
I was at Skovdalen too, gain after 6 years and I had a great time with my girlfriend. We stood on about 7 meters away from stage at John's right side. Unfortunately the sound was very muddy, especially during his solos. The baddest sounding John gig I have been to (and the one in Valby Hallen in 2005 was bad!). But it looked like John wasn't happy with it either. But a fantastic show and nice to hear an extended version of Blueboy. Also I enjoyd very much to hear the stripped down Joy Of My Life. Hightlight for me were: Who'll Stop the Rain, Lodi (my alltime favourite, and especially this long version), Fortunate Son and Looking Out My Back Door.
During Old Man Down the Road I was tapped hard on my shoulder. I though it was a drunk guy who were out to pick a fight, but it was an older Danish guy who had looked at me during the show....he was almost in tears when he told me, that it was cool to see me sing ALL the lyrics. Funny experience

We only have good intentions aswell, i only take a few pictures as documentation of our trip, and never film. I'm sorry to hear it ruined your experience Petra, we had the same in norway when the security was constantly doing it too.
We had a great time during the show! I said a couple of things to John during the show which he responded to
This was the first show of this tour we heard Hot Rod Heart and he does a new solo in the song, so after the song was over i said i liked the new solo. He didnt understand it right away so he came over and said "I like your new solo too!" hahaha.
Then when i explained what i ment he asked me if i could play it too and held his Taylor guitar infront of me and joked that he wouldn't get it back if he gave it to me
Later on in the show John was having some sound issues so i yelled to him that the sound was really loud where we were standing, and he came over and joked that i should sing a song and he would play there
After giving it some thought he started Cotton Fields with only him fingerpicking some guitar in the background and the audience sang along. He did a great solo in the middle of the song! Funnily enough when the audience continued to sing after the solo, one half of the audience sang a completely different part of the song than the rest!
There were alot of other funny moments in the show and John seemed to have a great time too. During the Bad Moon Rising solo he lifted his guitar towards me again gesturing me to play.
I love the additions of some Blue Moon Swamp songs to the setlist and also Gunslinger and Garden Party are great, i really hope we get to hear some Revival songs too as i saw "Somebody Help Me" was originally on the setlist in norway but it was removed. Rock'n Roll Girls would be great again too
Alot of great moments during the show thanks to John and i hope he had as good of a time as we did!
See you in Amsterdam!

The show was realy great
Skovdalen is like the Hollywood-Bowl in very small in the middle of a park
with wild trees all round it
some people sat on the roots of the cut-off trees -

Oh, gosh Miss Hoodoo! I'm sorry that those security guys don't understand today's technology. Everyone tapes everything under the sun these days. That's the cold reality of our high tech world and there's nothing you can do to stop that sort of thing.
But thank you for your never-ending love and support of da master!!! I can only imagine how exhausting it is for you to follow JF and BAND though the European nations. What a lovely, beautiful, true blue fan you are, and also Mr Sky and all your fellow Million Milers fanclub.
We salute you!!!
And the extended jam on Blueboy??? WOW!!! I can only imagine again what that must have sounded like! So awesome and amazing to see the master JOHN FOGERTY & BAND at work!!!
We are so lucky to have him still alive and kickin' and tourin' all over the world!!!!
Keep up the great work, y'all!!! Red roses and hugs all around!!!! X O X O X O -
