? Who pulled the plug on McCartney & Springsteen?
Hyde Park deserves the world's biggest spanking right now. I think by now everyone has heard about Springsteen's concert and he was putting on a great show for about 3 hours.
Then as a huge surprise and monumental finish, Sir Paul McCartney joined Springsteen on-stage for a couple of huge hits.
The crowd was roaring it's approval! Audience members thought they had died and gone straight up to Heaven!!! Then... like a bad dream...like a huge snafu. of the most horrendous kind, the power suddenly blacked out and there was no sound.
What happened? Was there a citywide black-out? Was there an electrical short? Did a bolt of lightning strike a nearby power pole and set the town in darkness?
Nooooo.
Somebody did it on purpose supposedly because they were over-time for a concert!!! WTF???
I cannot believe the disrespect!!! HOW DARE THEY?
Of all the most monumentally spontaneous and wonderful events, Springsteen dueting with McCartney may be the best of the best ofr thousands of people gathered.
WHO CARES about the curfew? Who cares about the fine?
I am outraged at the fuddy-duddiness of Hyde Park and the jackass who pulled the plug.
If I were to confront this ass, I would ask him if he was proud of what he did.
Bet you a dollar to a donut he regrets being such a world-class, unforgiveable SOB!!!
Honestly!!! Isn't life too full of rules as it is?
Let it be, Hyde Park!!!!
You totally blew it this time.
You have proven to the world that you don't deserve such an incredible show.
The person responsible should go to jail for robbing society of this incredible miracle of a show. SHAME on HYDE PARK!!!!!

Hi RBQ, you can also look at it from the other side. Suppose you were living in the neighborhood and your little children had to go to bed : impossible.
I don't think Hyde Park was built to give the people loud music, but nature and rest.
John Fogerty's show started a little late already, so Bruce should have shortened his set a bit,
over 3 hours on a stage is more than enough I think.
John only got maximum 60 minutes of play time, I'm more mad about that.
Remember what happened at Glastonbury ??

hi river boat queen
Calm down my dear..
.....roberts right the organisers should have told bruce to shortened the gig time, by the way robert didn`t know john fogerty was on for only an hour.!!!! ....but there was a big debate about this on bbc radio 2 .......some people were saying that some pubs were still open and they were playing loud music well after the gig finished ...perhaps they should have let bruce and sir paul finish there encore i dunno!!!!
