Deep album cuts . . . which ones?

Sat, Sep 22, 2012 at 8:58 AM

Its so super COOL to be reading the stories about John Fogerty's tour right now. That's so cool when fans come over here and POST all about their experiences while enjoying a John Fogerty concert. This is what makes a forum golden!

It's nice when Fogerty & BAND do a deep album cut in concert. You know - when they perform an older song that doesn't get alot of radio air, but a song that is JUST SO BANGIN' COOL!!!!!

Like, Keep on Chooglin. What a song, with customized classical intro!
RAMBLE TAMBLE - the ultimate road warrior song.
Feelin' Blue - essence of Creedence just drips from this song! When will Fogerty do it?
Bootleg - totally CCR!
Cotton Fields - honoring the late Ledbetter w/Creedence flavorings.
Molina - this was a huge hit! But not played live very much.
Tombstone Shadown - gosh, if he ever played this one, I'd fall over onto the floo!!! Even if I wasn't at the concert!!!!!

Anyhow - - - - I'm sure all of you died-in-the-cotton Creedence/Fogerty fans have special requests....post them all here!!!

But no way is there any guarantee........******

Well, Queen Mary, with John playing all his albums
and us sitting here missing the whole thing then he has
to come home and give us a concert and play all the
    albums for us.
It has just been tooooooo loooooooooong since we've
    had a concert.

    hi queenie
Well i would like john fogerty to play "pagan baby" its a classic creedence song, also some songs from the Pendulum album its just a thought, sailors lament, born to move........but you know its probably out of the question of the last three loads of sax and organ in those songs ...........Pendulum is my favourite creedence album by a mile .

Where the river flows!!!! Oooh I love that song so much!
Of course it would be great that John could play a "rare songs concert" And make it a dvd!

    Saludos, Lautaro.

I wish John would reach into his back catalogue more. Ever since the Centerfield 25 Tour (which featured Centerfield rarities, obscure covers, and more), he is really sticking to his greatest hits. The John Fogerty, Deja Vu, Eye of the Zombie, Pendulum, and Blue Ridge Rangers albums are incredible albums, but John rarely plays anything from them (aside from Hey Tonight and Have You Ever... on Pendulum). Even a few years ago, I remember John would throw "Porterville," "Hearts of Stone," "Almost Saturday Night," "My Toot Toot," "Jelly Roll," and "Workin on a Building" into his shows. Now the set lists are nearly identical night-to-night (aside from the full album portion), with just the hits.

Of course it would be great that John could play a "rare songs concert" And make it a dvd!

Check out the Royal Albert Hall 2008 DVD.... LOTS of rare songs, including Southern Streamline, Almost Saturday Night, Blue Ridge Mtn Blues, My Toot Toot, and Comin Down the Road. Although, if John did an actual show for the diehards, only playing rarities, that'd be great! I always wanted to hear stuff like Sea Cruise and Effigy live. Maybe a good idea for a webcast, so all fans worldwide would watch?!

Tombstone Shadow is on the live Long Road Home CD
"I won't be losin' my way, long as I can see the light."

"I was just a shadow, and I never made a sound."
