New Album Listening Party! + UK false alarm
Good news for British Fogerty fans! John and his new supergroup, the Sound City Players, will be in London at the Forum next Tuesday! Aside from the Hyde Park festival gig and private show in Scotland, this is John's first UK appearance since the Royal Albert Hall concert. (edit: not happening, see below)
Also, John is in New York city today preparing for tomorrow's show at the Hammerstein Ballroom. But an intern at EMI Music recently tweeted:
John Fogerty is standing right next to me. I'm helping out with his event!!
And a videographer posted:

Apparently this mysterious "event" is taking place at the Iridium Jazz Club in Midtown Manhattan. If anyone has any news, please share! I'll keep you posted if I find anything.

wow, thats quite some news! How sure is it that John will be part of it? Hope some UK based Fogerty fans will be able to get a ticket! I'm affraid this week-on-forehand news is a bit late for Robert and me to try to arrange something. (now if it only was in a weekend!)
So, is anyone trying to go? Tickets are selling right now!

I'd sure love to go, but a flight from here is 350 euro, with ticket and all I would end up spending at least 500 euro, and as I'm unemployed at the moment, I can't afford to spend that kind of money for just 1 concert... better save up for a future tour...

Oops, sorry European fans for the false alarm!
And in other news, John was at NYC's Iridium Club Tuesday for a special, exclusive discussion and Listening Party for journalists! He played the brand-new album, then talked about each of the songs. It seems as if the entire event was recorded, and perhaps it will be released sometime over the next few months.
John concluded the event by playing a solo-electric version of "Fortunate Son," like in The Finder premier.
Of the new album, one rock critic said it was "smashing.... absolutely thrilling." He mentioned the vocals "mix it up as duets, and it really works. A fantastic piece of work." And finally, he calls the two new songs "winners."

I know.
I wish all the buyers of these tickets will go to the Dave Grohl show and then afterwards complain at Ebay that John nor the other guests were there.
If they payed with Paypal they will all get their money back !

Hey guys,
John will not be able to make it to the London Sound City gig. He's had a great time playing these shows and would have loved to join but he can't make it at this time.

So much awesome John news coming up these days. You're really gonna love this album. I can't get the songs out of my head!
