VIP Tickets
How does the John Fogerty Fans feel about VIP tickets? We used to get presale options but now the true fans have to pay 300.00 plus to get up close. After reading all the stipulations about going to the sound check I really question this.

Re: VIP Tickets
So with the VIP experience, you get:
1. Watch from the side of the stage- probably cool, but I'd prefer seats because there's a dress code, obstructed sight lines (with the new production, you probably can't see the band), likely a no-photo policy, no dancing/being part of the crowd, and John wouldn't acknowledge you (like he would if you are in the crowd).
2. Watch the soundcheck- again, pretty cool, even though it's probably just the band testing out the sound in the venue. and I doubt they'd play any rarities, probably just songs that the ticket holder will hear again later on in the night
3. John Fogerty T-Shirt- ehh, hopefully there's a wide selection to choose from
4. Autographed Poster- I'm sure someone could get this for free if you're in the right place at the right time.
Bottom line: this package is worth NOWHERE near $1000. It's really criminal that they're charging that much. The autographed poster is worth $50, ticket worth $150, shirt is $25, and soundcheck is free, if you stand outside the arena and listen.... that's $225. They did something similar on the 2006 tour, except it was cheaper and you got to actually meet him in person! In Creedence, John embraced the "working man," blue-collar, flannel shirt, "you-don't-have-to-worry-cause-you-have-no-money" persona, and it's sad to see him charging these insane prices for his most dedicated fans (and also depriving the fans who can't afford this package the good seats in the front rows). It's called "VIP"... yet they're ripping off fans for HUGE amounts of money and, judging by another post, treating them like they aren't important at all!
John is an American legend, but he is nowhere near the celebrity status of Bono or Madonna or Elton John.... he shouldn't be charging this much! Take the Beach Boys, for example. They're obviously a bigger band than Fogerty is. Their VIP package consists of a ticket in the first 5 rows, meet & greet with the band, watch the soundcheck, personal photograph with the band, special ticket & laminated badge, tour tote bag, t-shirt and poster (both numbered), and VIP staff to help the experience. And it costs just $750.... bigger artist, better rewards, better service, yet still a cheaper price. Very disappointing on John's part. -

Highest price ticket ($1000) for the worse seat in the house. Those fans should have received something. John and his manager should be ashamed of themselves.

Re: VIP Tickets
Attended show Sep 20 in Winnipeg. Bought VIP package and got treated like dirt. No soundcheck or meet and greet due to late plane-I understand. All I heard was "we will treat you right". Appearantly a guitar pick and bandana meet this requirement. I asked his staff to get a personal item autographed since the sound check didn't happen, and they flat out said "NO". I was totally disappointed in the fact I paid 4x of any other ticket and did not get the soundcheck/meet and greet part of the package. I was totally disappointed and John and his organization need to address how they treat their fans-especially VIP-since this was to be once in a lifetime for me and I was frustrated and my whole evening was ruined (I left my front row seats early). I am a life long fan, and I felt like all they cared about was the money. Appearantly they care more about $, than their lifelong fans. My recommendation if you go see him, buy cheaper tickers because VIP is a waste of money.

Re: VIP Tickets
Hey, Marty. I think they will do right by you.
There was not a lot of playing at the rehearsal I was at, just practicing some stuff, so you didn't miss a lot of music.
