Site and Forum Recommendations

Hi guys,

Help me out here. Let's start making a list of changes you'd like to see on johnfogerty.com. Anything that bugs you? Anything we could be doing better? I'll be working on bringing you much more new content, of course. How about the design? Functionality? What are we missing on here? Let me know!

OK I'll go first . The design doesn't matter I think . The fact that you are here and show that there's at least one person reading what the fans write is already a very good start.
Also it is always interesting to read when a new album will come out, that doesn't have to be the exact date, but even a wild guess is OK for the fans. Same with tourdates , some bands announce their tourdates more than a year before the actual shows , so we would be happy to know it a couple of months before already. That would be a big change.
There will be more wishes I guess but I'll let the other fans write something too ...
Hope there will be a lot of interest in this forum again soon !
    Good luck !

Swamp Girl, in the old Fogerty Forums we were allowed to load up some pictures or Youtube Links. Lots of fans are following John all over the world when he is on the road. There are so many great stories about that. All the fans joined those stories on the original Forum in the past. Today we have to go alternativ ways for joining the stuff with the other True Blues. That possibility could bring back much traffic.

Itcameoutofthesky already said it. We all are working people and we all have to decide when we will take our holidays. It would help a lot if we could early know when John will be where on the road. I´m living in Germany and of course I´m curious if he´ll be back here in 2013 :-)

It´s great that you ask about some Recommendations. Wish you all the best !!

Great idea for a thread. Here are a couple of suggestions I have:

    1. VIP Section - If I recall correctly, John's old website (when Revival was released) featured a "VIP Fan" section, where fans could sign up for the email list/Facebook group and gain access to this page with a password. There, we could find exclusive videos of John rehearsing for the tour and performing with Steamtrain Mary, among other goodies. It'd be awesome to have something similar to this, if possible.

    2. Live concert downloads - it was discussed in the past that John might consider putting hi-quality audio of his shows online to purchase and download - something that many bands are doing nowadays. BayouLover, an old forum administrator, suggested this in 2011, but it never materialized. Especially with John performing rarities like the Bayou Country album and other long-lost nuggets, us fans (especially those overseas who can't attend these shows) would greatly appreciate this.

    3. Really like the Sound City Facebook contest - that's a great idea. Looking forward to many other social media blitzes to get the casual fans excited about the music.

    4. Totally agree with Robert's comments... it's safe to call us forum-posters "hardcore" fans, so if we'll take any information we can get - even if it is slightly vague. Same with the tour dates... recent shows/tour (like the Australian tour, October Arizona shows) were announced with just 2 months notice. It'd be nice to have a bit more warning for these shows (or even a teaser, like this: "John will be touring the East Coast this fall! Official dates coming soon...").

    hi swampgirl
Robert pretty much sums up my thoughts, certainly tourdates are important the earlier the better , perhaps a blog from john would be nice i know kenny aronoff does one...more songs on the musicplayer like "rockin all over the world" from the shep album, its great the fans are involved in ideas to make this website better.

This is all great info. Please keep it coming. I hear you on the tour dates. I know I can't confirm anything right this minute - there's a whole order to things behind the scenes and they need to be done a certain way. But I will check about releasing any info earlier than you've received it in the past. Or at the very least hinting at it.

I'm making a list of all of these suggestions that I will discuss with Mrs. Higher Up in the Fogerty camp and see what we can change up on this site to thank you guys for being such dedicated fans. You seriously mean the world to us and I want to show you how much John appreciates it.

If all the things that Robert,Sary and swampriver said can be done here that will be great . Everyone of us is allready years and years faithfull fans of John. And it's normal that we wants to know as much (not private things off course) about our great idol.
I'm glad that you here Swampgirl and ask for opinions.
    Greetings
    Walter from Belgium

ps I'm sure that the new album sounds great.
