New Songs!: "Ominous blues-rocker" and "mid-tempo country"

Sorry for another post about this event, but more details have emerged about this exclusive listening party for NYC journalists... including info about these two, mysterious songs.

"Mystic Highway" begins as a Pure Prairie League-meets-The Doobie Brothers mid-tempo country rocker that veers into an unexpected psychedelic interlude before going back to the country. The second, "Train of Fools," is an ominous blues-rock number Fogerty says he pushed himself to write over the course of one weekend as he was facing a recording session deadline.


The article also mentions how "Wrote a Song for Everyone" includes a "face-melting guitar solo" from Tom Morello, suggesting that this new version is going to be similar to the recent live version.

    A piano-driven version of Who'll Stop the Rain. I wrote a while back that I hope John and Bob's version has a piano in it.I knew how will it whould fit with this song. Someday I hope John does some music with the piano only his style and voice is perfect . Can't wait to hear all the songs.
