UP AROUND THE BEND is the perfect song for NASCAR!!! Thanks for telling us the nice story!!!

Whenever I hear, "Run Through the Jungle" I can't help remembering those sad times of the late 60's when the US was heavily involved in the Viet Nam conflict. I know John wrote that song to voice his complaint of our national gun policy, and the violence of urban society, but that song just makes me think of the tropical jungles of Viet Nam and all those people who died in there.

He was being so prophetic when he wrote Jungle. I think of Sandyhook and Columbine and the Aurora Theater.....he was right when he said there ought to be some sort of way to control senseless gun violence in America. All those years ago, we never had such bad things but today, it's almost a daily sin.
