Thanks for the info Swamp Girl. I know you need to comply with contracts stating when the shows can be announced. Obviously promoters need some time in advance to organize everything but it’s in everyone’s best interest to announce it ASAP. What I was trying to say is that when it takes too long to make an annoucement it’s because there’s a strong reason behind it.
But it’s all just speculation, I don’t know if John is coming to the UK and whether it’s going to be in a festival or not.
There’s also one concert confirmed in Spain on 5th July.

I’ve been following this forum for a while as I’m also waiting for a concert in the UK.
This tour seems to consist mostly in festivals and I don’t think the UK is going to be an exception. I’d say that’s the only reason why each date’s contract comes with specifics on when it can be announced. If it were a solo concert it would have been already announced as there wouldn’t be other parts involved and it would be their interest to announce it asap.
That said, we’ve got a couple of possibilities in London: BST Hyde Park or Calling Festival. Paul McCartney is rumoured to be the headliner on the June 29 at Calling Festival, wouldn’t be surprised to see John subbing for Macca.
