• I doubt this private show will be made available for download. I did not attend, but it looks like this was a invite-only gig that supported a charity, Tia’s Hope; only hospital workers and patients, police, and firefighters attended. By the looks of it, there very few people in attendance. ELO opened for John. Quote from John during the show: “I…[Read more]

Could not agree more. I would love if fans had more input into John’s setlist. About ten years ago we had an online vote, and as a result John played Ramble Tamble and Hearts of Stone and Porterville. In 2008 we got John to play Comin’ Down the Road. But since then the set lists have been kind of static.

I agree, and think us fans should be able…[Read more]

  • What a classic show from John. Loved that he threw in some songs especially for Jazzfest like Jambalaya and a rare New Orleans cover. And the extended version of Proud Mary at the end was fantastic – John needs to bring horns on-tour with him!

Here are some great photos from his guest appearance with Springsteen:

Here’s another new summer concert in Indianapolis. Why is it that fans have to search the internet to learn about new tour dates? In the past, the entire tour was announced on JohnFogerty.com. Now, almost every Europe and US date on the summer tour was released somewhere…[Read more]

  • If I remember correctly, JohnFogerty.com did a poll in 2006 where fans could vote on what obscure, rare song John would play live in his shows. And as a result, that tour debuted now fan-favorites like “Commotion” and “Ramble Tamble” and “Rock and Roll Girls” and “Porterville.”

John should do this again for his next tour. Aside from “Nobody’s…[Read more]

A Dallas news source mentions that John Fogerty will open for Jimmy Buffett at his concert this June in Texas. Any truth to this? And will John be joining Jimmy on any more tour dates?

If true, this debunks the rumor that John’s European…[Read more]

  • Nobody likes him – except for other assholes.

Might want to check out video from the show, RiverBoatQueen, before saying that. After his red-hot performance of Fortunate Son, John HIMSELF he says “Howard, man, I love ya!” I hope you aren’t implying that our hero John is an asshole…

  • Thanks for posting SwampGirl! It’s funny to see John in the company of these pop superstars. I wonder if he talked to Miley Cyrus – his song “It Ain’t Right” is basically about her lifestyle!

  • Cool idea, but after the recent Uncut Magazine and Reddit AMA chances to ask John questions, it would be much cooler if he could perform a special acoustic song for fans. 500,000 fans is a huge Facebook milestone! I think an exclusive thank-you performance is a nice reward, maybe even addition to the question. It’s just a thought.

  • On Saturday, John performed on the same bill as pop and hip-hop superstars Miley Cyrus, R. Kelly, and Macklemore at Clive Davis’s exclusive annual GRAMMY gala. He apparently played the longest set of the night, with guest appearances by some Wrote a Song for Everyone collaborators – Fortunate Son with the Foo Fighters and Proud Mary with Jennifer…[Read more]

  • Unfortunately, John is not famous enough to perform the SuperBowl Halftime Show. Unless he joins a supergroup (with other massive stars like Petty or Springsteen), or reunites with CCR, I don’t see him ever performing on the world’s biggest stage.

John did play the two Thanksgiving Halftime Shows… played a different setlist at each one,…[Read more]

  • John will be performing two songs at Howard Stern’s birthday bash in New York City on January 31st. Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Bon Jovi will join him on the bill. The performance immediately follows his two Long Island gigs the previous…[Read more]

  • John Stamos (famous TV star from Full House and ER) was recently on the Howard Stern show, and talked for a while about his friendship with John Fogerty. Apparently, in the early 90s, the two Johns performed onstage together, including a creole-zydeco show with Bruce Springsteen for JF’s 50th birthday.

John Stamos mentions that Julie shot some…[Read more]

  • TOTALLY surprised and SO HAPPY that John added this hidden gem into the Fall Tour setlist. I was afraid John forgot about that wonderful Deja Vu album, because he never plays any of the songs, but here he made a brilliant decision to debut this rarity. It’s 9 years old, but the lyrics still relevant, a bitter criticism about how everybody is glued…[Read more]

Good for John. Mumford and Sons are one of the most popular bands in the world these days. In recent interviews John mentioned that he liked them, calling them modern-day troubadours.

But I wish John would actually play the OTHER artists’ material at these guest appearances, rather than just CCR songs. I know he played “Alcohol” at the Brad…[Read more]

  • Widespread Panic, the band John just joined onstage, sells soundboard recordings of every show on their website. Just posted there today: the live set with John!

Fogerty fans should definitely buy this. Amazing live extended versions of Mystic Highway and Susie Q and Chooglin, all professionally mixed and mastered. Fans can download the whole…[Read more]

  • I watched that fantastic video of John + band performing “Ramble Tamble” from his Canada tour last year. All that great footage from the tour exists in the Fogerty Vaults.

I think it would be awesome to post more of that online, especially for the rarer songs most fans don’t get to hear live often…. Graveyard Train, Ooby Dooby, etc. And those…[Read more]

  • You know once he commits his mind to a project – he starts it, and he has to see it through to the end. All the way to the sweet, sweet end!!! X O X O

Uh-oh, I guess you’ve never heard of the “Hoodoo” project… Or Blue Ridge Rangers follow-up from ’74… Or the Comin’ Down the Road documentary… :)

Just joking, I’ll be crossing my fingers for 2014!

  • Although the original press release called for a 2014 release, I don’t see that happening. John’s got tour dates the rest of the year, and last we heard, he hasn’t even found a professional co-writer for the memoirs. (although I personally think David Wild would be the ideal cowriter for John, given his experience and their close relationship)

    I…[Read more]

  • I believe the album has sold between 120k – 130k copies. It took 6 or 7 weeks for the album to drop out of Billboard’s Top 40 albums chart. Right now, it still remains on the Billboard 200 chart.

(side note: CCR’s Chronicle is an all-time-high 22nd on the charts this week)
