John and the ‘Sound City Players’ Perform at SXSW

Last night at South By Southwest in Austin, TX music was made. Dave Grohl, John, Stevie Nicks, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Rick Springfield and more joined each other on stage for a nearly three-and-a-half hour epic performance presented by Citi and Billboard.

Billboard writes that Grohl promised it would be “extra long and extra special. Buckle up!” The all-star ensemble delivered.

John closed out the show with an electrifying set charged with sounds of the Foo Fighters on the Creedence Clearwater Revival classics like “Proud Mary”, “Born on the Bayou” and “Bad Moon Rising” all of which are featured on his new album ‘Wrote A Song For Everyone’ available May 28th.

According to the ‘Sound City Players,’ this was the final performance with the complete ensemble, but after last night, fans are hoping that’s not the case.
