John Fogerty, Doobie Brothers, Marshall Tucker Band to Perform at 2016 Stagecoach Festival

The annual Stagecoach Festival focuses mainly on country music, but the event also has traditionally featured some big-name rock artists, and the forthcoming 10th installment of the fest is no exception. John Fogerty , The Doobie Brothers and The Marshall Tucker Band are scheduled to perform at the 2016 edition of the three-day extravaganza, scheduled to run from April 29 to May 1 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

And we certainly were feeling some fatigue last month by the time we received the invitation for the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s annual A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s benefit, which took place this weekend in the ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria.

John Varvatos was honored last night at the 18th annual Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation benefit dinner and auction at Cipriani Wall Street. The "Collaborating for a Cure" event had a "Rock Out!" theme, with special musical guest John Fogerty and his band more than living up to it in a 90-minute set full of his classic Creedence Clearwater Revival and solo hits that kept attendees who had to get up in the morning on their feet until midnight

In 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival sold more records and had more hit songs — including classics like "Proud Mary," "Lodi," "Green River" and "Bad Moon Rising" — than even the Beatles.
