On Sept. 11, Denver’s Civic Center Park will host Colorado Remembers 9/11, a free event in observance of the 15th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Organized by the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL) and led by Gov. John Hickenlooper and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, the commemoration will honor victims of the attack as well as America’s first responders and members of the U.S. armed forces.
The Denver Post-sponsored event will run from noon to 5 p.m. on Sept. 11, a Sunday, at Civic Center Park.
