Rock 'n' roll filled the air around the Bismarck Event Center on Tuesday night for John Fogerty's 1969 Tour as fan of all ages came together for the long-awaited show.
The first sounds of rock 'n' roll came from a lone Fogerty fan walking down the center of Bowen Avenue. Henry Gaskins of Austin, Texas, was one of the first to arrive for the show. He was strumming his electric guitar through his pocket amp as he headed toward the Event Center.
"I've been a fan of Fogerty forever. How can you not be one?" Gaskins said. "I remember, like, mowing the lawn and getting my Diskman out and listening to the Centerfield album. ... I have to get in there."
