Michael J. Fox Foundation Knows How to Throw a Party

It can’t be easy to get people excited about your fundraiser year after year, especially when it takes place on a Saturday night. And we certainly were feeling some fatigue last month by the time we received the invitation for the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s annual A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s benefit, which took place this weekend in the ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria.

Comedians on the docket included Lenny Clarke, Jeff Ross and Larry Wilmore, with John Fogerty as the musical guest. (In the past few years, Amy Schumer, Louis C.K., Chris Martin and Paul Simon have all done sets,)
