JOHN FOGERTY BRINGS HIS CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED TOUR TO THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL IN JULY, CELEBRATING ONE EXTRAORDINARY YEAR “1969”
(Los Angeles) After launching his latest tour, “1969”, in Canada last November, JOHN FOGERTY announces the continuation of his highly-anticipated world-wide excursion with U.S. dates set for early this summer. The tour is scheduled for the legendary Hollywood Bowl on July 15th. More “1969” U.S. tour dates will be announced shortly.
Opening the Hollywood Bowl show will be Hearty Har, the psychedelic rock band fronted by Fogerty’s own sons, Tyler and Shane. Shane also does double-duty as a member of Fogerty’s band. Hearty Har were recently nominated as one of LA’s Best Bands.
Last November, the “1969” World Tour began with a cross-country trek of Canada. Seventeen shows in all, many of which sold-out, and the crowds were screaming for more. Fogerty’s “1969” Tour was named one of the Top 20 Global Concert Tours of 2014 by Pollstar. Reviews were nothing less than stellar, praising FOGERTY for his delivery, as well as the talents of his current band, with the Hamilton Spectator stating: “… this band that Fogerty is fronting now is probably better than that little four-piece garage band known as Creedence Clearwater Revival.”
FOGERTY’s music, his lyrics and his voice, resounded through an amazing and never-duplicated release of three separate albums with Creedence Clearwater Revival (Bayou Country, Green River, and Willy and the Poor Boys). In that single year,1969, FOGERTY gave the nation, even the world, an emotional and intellectual marker forever burned within our collective psyche. Now, in his 69th year, FOGERTY is calling us back, to re-invigorate those ties that bind us, with his upcoming “1969” World Tour.
